Welcome To The Silence of Mary Home

We serve Jesus.

Matthew 25: 40 "And the king will say to them in reply, 'Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me."

We serve Jesus by serving:

  • Youth released from the foster care and juvenile probation systems
  • The mentally ill
  • The terminally ill
  • Expectant mothers
  • Babies
  • The elderly
  • The poor
  • The homeless
  • Men and women on probation
  • Refugees and immigrants
  • Teenagers
  • Each other
  • Our community

That is why The Silence of Mary Home moved to and has its roots in the Allison Hill area of Harrisburg, one of the poorest and most crime-ridden neighborhoods of the city of Harrisburg. We are a family home, we are not a group home, a shelter or an institution. Our family home provides a family environment for "the least of our brothers," those who are the most disadvantaged and at the highest risk level. We give them love, care, and support, while providing them with independent living skills training, education, job opportunities, spiritual faith, counseling and other supportive services.

We live by the Ten Commandments and God's merciful forgiveness. We are not called to be successful. We are called to be faithful. And so sometimes, we just plant seeds that God will harvest later.
